How they make money

Intel designs and manufactures processors and other semiconductor products used in personal computers, data centers and other computing products, and sells them mainly to computer makers and cloud service providers. It makes most of its products in its own factories and also uses third-party suppliers. Nearly all of the work in its foundry business is for Intel's own products, and the foundry also offers design and manufacturing services to other companies.
