Who is responsible
The data controller for this site is 505 Media ApS (CVR 43658026), Hestehave 15, 6400 Sønderborg, Denmark. Questions about personal data can be sent to privacy@langmer.com.
No tracking
The pages are static HTML. The site itself sets no cookies, loads no scripts from other domains, and carries no analytics, no advertising and no tracking pixels. Nothing is stored in the browser. A check on every build fails if a third-party script ever appears in a page.
Server logs and the network provider
The server does not write an access log, so visitors' addresses and the pages they read are not recorded. The server is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, a German company, at its data centre in Finland. The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses to deliver the pages and to protect the site against abuse, and keeps them only as long as its own security and operations require. Cloudflare, Inc. is based in the United States; transfers there are covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Cloudflare is certified.
Legal basis
Personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation): delivering the site securely and answering messages sent to it.
Accounts, notes and payment
There is no account and no payment on this site today. When they are added, the rule the software is built on stays: a reader's own notes never leave the database they are stored in and are never sent to a language model or any other outside service. Payment, when it exists, will be handled by a payment provider, and card details will never reach this site.
Writing to contact@langmer.com, corrections@langmer.com or privacy@langmer.com means the message is kept until the matter is settled, and it is not used for anything else. Messages to these addresses are forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to the publisher's mailbox at Gmail, provided by Google Ireland Limited. Google may process the messages in the United States, where Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights
Anyone who has written to one of the addresses above can ask to see, correct, delete or receive a copy of what is kept about them, ask for its use to be restricted, and object to its use, by writing to privacy@langmer.com. A complaint can also be made to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
The data on the site
The figures come from public filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. They are about companies, not about readers. How they are selected and checked is set out in the methodology.
