How they make money

Ford develops, manufactures and sells trucks, sport utility vehicles, commercial vans and cars under the Ford and Lincoln brands, in gas-powered, hybrid and electric versions, together with service parts, accessories and connected services. Substantially all of its vehicles, parts and accessories are sold through dealerships, the substantial majority of which are independently owned, and it sells vehicles and fleet services to commercial, government and rental customers. Through Ford Credit it provides retail financing and leasing to vehicle buyers and wholesale loans to dealers financing their vehicle inventory.
